Help us out!

Obviously, for this whole thing to work and not putter out (literally), we need some extra money for food and gas.  There are two ways you can help with this.
1) Read this blog on the website and keep up with it.
2) Donate!  Get a paypal account, and send a donation to Crono921@gmail.com, my paypal address, and attach a message of "National Tour 2009 Donation."  All expenses will go towards making this happen, and you will be enriched by the blog entries, pictures, and videos.

Long First Day

Well, everyone.  As of yesterday, we have left.
A few things:
We changed it from 4 weeks to 2 weeks, so that we can save time and money.  So we're just touring the top half on the nation now, and some Canada.
Yesterday, Ross and I left Maryland at 5:30am and drove straight (picking up Jim in Ohio) to Wisconsin.  That is 900 miles.  In one day.  I know.  Sweet.
Alright.  That is all, peace be with you.  I'll write more later.

Humble Beginnings.

It all started with a dream--literally.
I had a dream where I was trapped in a small town, where the only way out was the one train that came through at the edge of town. There were no roads in or out, and the town was in the middle of a wasteland. Every authority there--government, parents, everyone--made it their sole purpose to stop people from leaving.
I was talking to my best friend and said, "I just want to leave. I just wish we could get in a car and drive away. It doesn't matter where we go. I just want to leave."
But we couldn't.Eventually, two of my cousins escaped on the train. My best friend and I followed them, first intending to turn them in--out of some deep-seeded desire to do what we thought we "should" do.
Conflict filled our hearts as we disembarked from the train in the next town and entered the inn there and found my cousins. Do we turn them in? Or do we follow our hearts desire.
I woke up.

We decided to follow our hearts. To leave. To run. To explore and discover. To fulfill that deep longing in a man's heart to find new things--to have adventures. To go there and back again as Bilbo did.
And we will.
